Needle-free drug delivery

Researchers have engineered a device that delivers a high-pressure jet of medicine through the skin without using a needle.

Medication compliance may be increased in patients who might otherwise avoid injecting themselves with drugs such as insulin. Similarly this device could reduce the risk of needle-stick injuries.

This device can control the pressure, speed and dose applied to patients.
