New homes mapped for animals affected by climate change

A method to identify new homes for animals affected by climate change has been devised by a team of UK scientists.

The Zoological Society of London researchers created habitat suitability maps to identify future habitats that will remain hospitable regardless of the changing climate.

Almost half of all bird and amphibian species are highly vulnerable to extinction due to climate change, and species in rare habitats have already experienced population decline due to changing climates.
