Reader / Associate Professor in Environmental Geoscience, Sheffield Hallam University

I am a Chartered Scientist and Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences. I specialise in soil and groundwater contamination, in particular the movement of colloidal materials through soils, sediments and filtration systems. My broader research interests reflect my interdisciplinary background and include catchment management, flood modelling, wastewater filtration, urban drainage, biomineralisation, corrosion of construction materials, arsenic contamination of drinking water, and the evolution of sediment deposits on glaciers in Svalbard. I teach Water Resources and other physical geography topics on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the Department of Natural and Built Environment at Sheffield Hallam University. I am currently course leader for a MSc Environmental Management postgraduate degree. I live in Sheffield, UK with my beautiful family.
