Anne-marie Boxall

Dr Anne-marie Boxall was the founding Director of the Deeble Institute for Health Policy Research, a collaboration between the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association and seven universities across Australia.

She is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Wollongong, an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Sydney and the Managing Editor of the Australian Health Review. Previously, Anne-marie worked on the recent round of national health reforms initiated in 2007 at both the Commonwealth Treasury and at the National Health Reform Commission. She has also worked as a researcher at the Commonwealth Parliamentary Library.

Anne-marie began her career as a physiotherapist, working in the public and private sectors. Anne-marie has a PhD in health policy and has published on a wide range of topics in health policy and health services. Her first book, Making Medicare: the politics of universal health care, was published by NewSouth Publishing in September 2013.
