Assistant Professor of Psychology, University of Nebraska Omaha

Dr. Folberg's work broadly examines the negative impacts of stereotypes and prejudice on marginalized group members--focusing primarily on issues related to gender and race. She also examines how individuals and organizations can confront and reduce prejudice. Dr. Folberg received a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). She was then awarded a competitive University Research Postdoctoral Fellowship from the University of Kentucky where she was mentored by faculty in the Departments of Gender and Women's Studies and Psychology. Dr. Folberg then returned to UNO as an assistant professor of psychology. Dr. Folberg's work has been generously supported through the American Psychological Foundation and the National Science Foundation.
