Abubakarr Jalloh

Assistant Professor of Public Health, Hollins University

Dr. Abubakarr Jalloh is an Assistant Professor of Public Health at Hollins University. He is a certified International Civil Servant by the United Nations (UN) with extensive international experience that include expertise in global health, health disparities, and social determinants of health. He is a scholar with extensive experience working with diverse groups of students and young people from different countries, ethnicities, and academic backgrounds. Globally, Dr. Jalloh collaborates with scholars from a number of disciplines who are interested in promoting and improving the health and well-being of people and communities. Previously, He served as the United Nations (UN) Representative and Program Manager for African Affairs for the World Leisure Organization, an international non-profit with consultative-status with the UN, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for this organization. Also, Dr. Jalloh previously worked in the Office of Rule of Law and Security Institutions at the UN, as well as the Global Health Corps and the Iowa Center on Health Disparities at the University of Northern Iowa and with the American University in Cairo, Egypt. He is a native of Sierra Leone.
