Postdoctoral Research Assistant, Geography, Royal Holloway University of London

My interdisciplinary (Geography & Management) PhD research focused on understanding the day-to-day lives of food delivery couriers in London's gig economy; how they made sense of the city and the platform they worked for; developed skills in navigating the complex assemblages of low viscosity soups and hard tarmac; and how they carved-out resistance strategies that allowed them to survive and build agency in this deeply precarious workplace.

I am currently working as a PDRA on two projects. The first investigates the role of mutual aid throughout (and emerging from) the covid-19 pandemic, and the potentials this holds for a new way of orgsanising society (PI Oli Mould).

The second is investigating just transitions toward decarbonisation in Australia (PI Pete Adey).

I have previously held posts as an RA on Oii's Fairwork project (PI Mark Graham).
