Principal Lecturer, University of Portsmouth

Adam is a Principal Lecturer in Economics and Finance, Director of Undergraduate economics courses, leading the teaching teams, curriculum development, and innovation. Adam is a scientific leader for the Horizon 2020 project PERCEIVE (www.perceiveproject.eu) investigating, in different European regions, to what extent citizens actually feel European and to what extent this actually relates to the implementation of European cohesion policies. Adam’s main strands of research are: Regional economics; environmental policy; economics of professional sports; corruption and malpractice.

Within Portsmouth Business School, Adam has held the role of Business Services Leader, facilitating business revenue growth that secures international commercial research and teaching contracts. The role includes new business development, relationship management and delivery of business services. Using internationally excellent research and teaching to deliver bespoke executive education, consultancy and applied research to a wide range of clients. Recent consultancy projects have estimated the economic impact of organisations and the projects they are seeking funding for. Then, once the funding is in place, projects include monitoring and evaluating the use of funding.
