Research Associate in Grid Energy Storage, University of Nottingham

Adam Hoskin is a Research Associate at the University of Nottingham. He is currently investigating grid energy storage and how new technologies can enable the decarbonisation of the electricity grid.

He is particularly focused on the issue of decreasing grid inertia and technologies that could be used to replace grid inertia in the future.

Before working in grid energy storage he carried out a PhD in Deployable Space Structures at the University of Surrey. This work was based around solar sails and issues arising with their deployment in space.
