Adam J. MacNeil trained in the Departments of Biology, Microbiology & Immunology, and Pediatrics at Acadia University (BScH), Dalhousie University (PhD), and the IWK Health Centre (PDF) in Nova Scotia, Canada. He is currently an Associate Professor of Immunology and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Health Sciences at Brock University in Ontario, Canada where he teaches immunology in undergraduate and graduate student programs and directs the Inflammation & Immunity Lab. Dr. MacNeil's research spans fundamental mechanistic through to transdisciplinary research frameworks with foci in: 1) mechanisms of allergic inflammation; 2) virus interactions with immunity; and 3) early life inflammatory trajectories related to allergy and cardiovascular physiology. His research program is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF), Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Mitacs, Ontario & the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI).
