Associate Professor in Allied Health, La Trobe University

Adam is a physiotherapist, epidemiologist and health services researcher. His PhD focused on understanding the structure and function of the gluteal muscles using innovative techniques including MRI imaging and electromyography. Since completing his PhD, he and his team have furthered our understanding of gluteal muscle function in people with hip osteoarthritis, knee osteoarthritis and lateral hip pain. Expertscape ranks Adam as number one in the world for his research in the field of 'Buttocks' (Sep, 2022)

Aside from a special interest in musculoskeletal hip pain, Adam enjoys working with Allied Health clinicians to evaluate models of care. He has qualifications in epidemiology and is a current student of Biostatistics which has helped to shape his work in data analysis of routinely collected health service outcomes
