Lecturer, Department of Modern History, Politics and International Relations, Macquarie University

I hold a PhD in Politics from Macquarie University and the University of Leipzig, Germany (2012) and have done postdoctoral research at the the Interuniversity Research Centre on Globalization and Work (CRIMT), Université de Montréal, Canada and the Group for Research on Ethnic Relations, Migration and Equality (GERME), Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. My research investigates the interplay of regulatory levels (local to global) in migration and refugee policy in a comparative perspective. My PhD compared British and Australian refugee admission policies since 1945 and my current focus is on refugees' participation in the labour market and on the governance of refugee resettlement.
