Adrastos Omissi

Lecturer in Latin Literature, University of Glasgow

Adrastos Omissi is a specialist in the political history of the later Roman Empire whose research focusses on civil war, court culture, and collective memory. He is the author of 'Emperors and Usurpers in the Later Roman Empire' (OUP, 2018) and co-editor of 'Imperial Panegyric from Diocletian to Honorius' (LUP, 2020). In addition, he writes and researches on linguistics, language history, and on warfare in the ancient world and has published on topics ranging from Greek phalanxes to Renaissance painting and modern psychedelics. He is Lecturer in Latin Literature at the University of Glasgow.
