Ahmad Rizky M. Umar

I am currently a PhD Student at the School of Political Sciences and International Studies, University of Queensland, Australia. Previously, I worked as the Executive Secretary of ASEAN Studies Center, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. I obtained a BA in International Relations from Universitas Gadjah Mada (2013) and MSc in Politics with Research Methods at the University of Sheffield (2016). I am also a member of Global South Caucus at International Studies Association (ISA). My current research focuses on topics related to Historical Sociology, (Inter-)State Formation, and Post-Colonial Questions in Southeast Asia.
