Honorary Associate Lecturer in Geography, University of Newcastle

Ainsley Hughes is an Honorary Associate Lecturer with the Discipline of Geography and Environmental Studies University of Newcastle. Ainsley's research has focused on everyday mobilities and how digital technologies continue to transform the experience of wayfinding in urban areas, with a particular interest in the embodied and affective experiences of feeling lost and found.

Ainsley also works as a New Mobilities Specialist at Liftango. Using her background in social and cultural geography, Ainsley’s work focuses on socio-demographic profiling and community needs analysis to evaluate DRT service provision and design. She is interested in how microtransit services might connect communities to increased education, employment, healthcare, and social equity opportunities.
