Assistant Professor of Communication, University of Dayton

Dr. Alan Abitbol’s primary research interest focuses upon corporate social responsibility (CSR) and public relations in a corporate communication setting. Specifically, he examines the impact a company’s communication of its CSR practices impact company-stakeholder relationships. Other areas of interest have included social capital and social media. His research has been published in the Online Journal of Communication and Media Technologies. Dr. Abitbol has also presented his work at several conferences including the Association of Education in Journalism and Mass Communication’s annual conference and the International Public Relations Research Conference.

In addition to his academic career, Dr. Abitbol has more than 10 years of experience working in various communication and public relations-related capacities including jobs in corporate communications, entertainment public relations, government relations, and agency public relations.
