NBHRF Research Chair in Community Health and Aging, St. Thomas University (Canada)

I'm currently the NBHRF Research Chair in Community Health and Aging and also an Assistant Professor their Department of Gerontology at St. Thomas University in New Brunswick. My research chair is oriented towards identifying new ways of thinking about aging. I am particularly interested in exploring the opportunities presented by the aging population and the climate crisis, since meeting these challenges will require us to transform our ways of living in more compassionate, sustainable and equitable directions. I am currently a co-investigator on a multi-million dollar, international and interdisciplinary SSHRC funded study that aims to foster more inclusive and meaningful approaches to aging, and I was a collaborator on another decade long SSHRC funded, international study of nursing homes, "Re-Imagining Long-Term Residential Care."
