Alejandra Castanon

I completed a medical degree in 2003 and then went on to study Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I am currently in my final year of a PhD in Cancer Epidemiology.

My research focuses on the evaluation of the cervical screening programme with the aim of maximising its effectiveness. Until January 2018 I was based at the Center for Cancer Prevention, Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, Queen Mary University of London. I am now an Epidemiologist within the Cancer Prevention Group at the School of Cancer & Pharmaceutical Sciences, King’s College London.
