Alejandro Anaya Muñoz

Professor of the Division of International Studies at the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE), in Mexico.
From 2011 to 2015, he was the Dean of CIDE’s new campus in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
He holds a PhD in Government and an MA in Theory and Practice of Human Rights from the University of Essex, England.
He is a member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers (level 2).
He has been Fulbright Scholar at the Human Rights Program of the University of Minnesota, and Mexico Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, in Washington DC.
His is the author of three author books and numerous journal articles and book chapters.
In recent years, his research has focused on the transnational political dynamics around human rights and the influence of the international human rights regime.
He is associate editor of the International Journal of Human Rights.
His most recent book is Derechos Humanos en y desde las Relaciones Internacionales [Human Rights in International Relations] (Mexico, CIDE, 2014).
