Alex Cothren is a writer in Adelaide, South Australia. He is currently a PhD candidate in Creative Writing at Flinders University. In 2013, he was awarded the Carmel Bird Award for short fiction, with the winning story published in The Great Unknown anthology. He has also had fiction published in Overland Online and The Molotov Cocktail. In 2018, he co-edited—with Amy Mead—Westerly Online‘s special South Australian issue.
