Several years' office management experience, responsible for a small team of staff; diary; building up relationships with relevant stakeholders including businesses, community networks, NGOs and statutory bodies.

Currently undertaking part-time postgraduate study for a professional doctorate in social and public policy. My thesis considers how an approach of supporting digital innovation and the foundational economy can regenerate the economy of the former coalfield areas of South Wales. Interests include automation, artificial intelligence (AI) and the technological transformation of the economy; the role of FE/HE, vocational training and adult learning in creating a workforce with the skills necessary to meet the economic and demographic challenges of the decades ahead; and the foundational economy as a concept for improving the resilience and long-term sustainability of peripheral towns.
