Researcher, children and young people, National Centre for Social Research

Alexandra Fry joined the Children and Young People team in September 2012 as a Graduate Research Trainee.
She graduated from the University of Essex with a 2:1 in Sociology. Throughout her degree her focus was on the challenges faced by socially excluded children, and the impact this has on society. Her degree at the University of Essex and their affiliation with ISER has exposed her to large data sets, such as Understanding Society, and has given her a solid understanding of both qualitative and quantitative methods.
As a graduate Alexandra has untaken extensive training. Since joining NatCen Social Research she has primarily worked on The Evaluation of Children’s Centres in England, The 16-19 Bursary Fund, and is heading up the Graduate Project.
