Amanda Squire

A dedicated HCPC registered Dietitian, with a passion for promoting patient-centred care and professionalism within the NHS, social care and third sector organisations.
After a successful NHS career (from clinical dietetics to community based education), Dr. Squire seized the opportunity to pursue an academic appointment so that she could widen her contribution to the healthcare sector by preparing students for the challenges of the modern health service.
Her current role as Interprofessional Education Lead at Cardiff School of Health Sciences allows her to lead, stimulate and motivate the drive towards professionalism with students and faculty alike. This involves developing strategies, engaging hearts and minds and developing innovative approaches which make a tangible difference to the quality of care within the healthcare sector.
Following the award of her PhD and through ongoing research, Dr. Squire has presented to conferences at home and abroad, has worked with government bodies and is actively involved wherever possible in driving up the quality of professionalism and care.
