Amber Huff is a Research Fellow based at the Institute of Development Studies where she is a member of the Resource Politics and Environmental Change Research Cluster and coordinator of the Centre for Future Natures. Her research focuses on the politics of environmental change and its linkages with natural resource struggles and conflict in southern Africa, politics of the new enclosures and governance of commons globally. Her recent publications and projects examine politics of environmental conservation, restoration and extraction and consider how narratives of scarcity and security are increasingly shaping scientific and policy framings of environmental change and sustainable development policy.
