Amber Pouliot is a teaching fellow at Harlaxton College, the University of Evansville's UK study abroad centre. She has written on the literary and cultural afterlives of the Bronte family, and her essay on biographical fiction and incest will appear in Brontë Studies in 2019.

Amber was awarded a PhD at the University of Leeds for a thesis exploring the development of fictional narratives about the Brontë family. She also has an MA in Victorian literature (distinction) from the University of Leeds, and a BA (honours) from Allegheny College, in Pennsylvania. She has taught at university level since 2010, convened two conferences, and co-edited Victorians: A Journal of Culture and Literature's 2016 Brontë Bicentenary special issue.
