Amit Sheth

Professor Amit Sheth is an educator, researcher, and entrepreneur. He is the founding director of the AI Institute and a professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of South Carolina. Earlier, he was the executive director of the Ohio Center of Excellence in Knowledge-enabled Computing (Kno.e.sis) and thee LexisNexis Ohio Eminent Scholar at the Wright State University. Professor Sheth's current interests include Artificial Intelligence (esp. knowledge graphs, NLP, deep learning, knowledge-infused learning, conversational AI- esp virtual agents/assistant for health and education), Semantic Web, Physical/IoT-Cyber-Social-Clinical Big Data, Augmented Personalized Health, AI and Big Data applications (in health and life sciences, social good, disaster management, etc.).
