Amy is a Consultant in the Advisory Team at the Institute for Public Policy and Governance. As a social researcher and community development professional, Amy has over ten years experience working on social issues in government and non-government organisations.

Amy began her career as a community development officer in local government, working in a range of portfolios such as ageing, disability, and social planning. Before joining UTS, Amy worked as a Social Research and Information Officer at WESTIR Limited, a not-for-profit social research service for Greater Western Sydney. Some of her most notable projects have included the Penrith Community Profile, Penrith Homelessness Interagency Service Mapping Project, and the Aboriginal Family Planning Circle Evaluation. She has also undertaken in-depth research studies exploring the loss of peri-urban agricultural land on Sydney's fringe and the role of community and legal services in addressing institutional child sexual abuse.

Amy's research skills and interests are broad, ranging from demographic analysis, policy analysis and development, quantitative and qualitative research studies, program evaluation and stakeholder engagement. She is passionate about developing evidence-based research for clients, as well as translating that knowledge into realistic, practical recommendations that deliver real results.
