Postdoctoral Fellow in Microbiology, Rice University

I am a microbiologist passionate about antimicrobial research and development, as well as the impact of microbes on host health, particularly in relation to aging and age-related diseases. After receiving my PhD from the University of Aveiro (Portugal), I worked as a postdoctoral research engineer at INSERM (France) investigating aging in bacteria at the single-cell level. As a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Postdoctoral Fellow working in the USA and Spain, I'm exploring innovative ways to use nanotechnology to combat infectious diseases caused by pathogens that have become resistant to traditional treatments. My goal is to find unique and creative solutions to this global challenge.
