Ananish Chaudhuri

Professor of Experimental Economics, University of Auckland, Waipapa Taumata Rau

I am Professor of Experimental Economics at the University of Auckland and served as the Chair of the Department of Economics at Auckland from 2013 till 2019.

I am the author of numerous scholarly journal articles as well as the books Nudged into lockdown? Behavioral Economics, Uncertainty and Covid-19 (Edward Elgar, 2022), Behavioural Economics and Experiments (Routledge, 2021) and Experiments in Economics: Playing with Money (Routledge, 2009). I also edited the volumes Research Agenda for Experimental Economics (Edward Elgar, 2021) and Research Advances in Experimental Research in Social Dilemma Games (MDPI, 2016).

I am Senior Editor of Oxford Open Economics, a new open access journal (and the first of its kind in Economics) from Oxford University Press.

I have won multiple research excellence awards and in 2018 was given a Distinguished Contribution Award by the University of Auckland Business School for my contributions to the faculty. In 2018-2019, I served on the Economics and Human and Behavioural Sciences Panel of the Royal Society NZ Marsden Fund.
