Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences, University of California, Santa Barbara

My research examines collective action in conservation and fisheries management. I am a critical commons scholar using common-pool resource theory and political ecology to understand how new policies shape collective action outcomes in coastal communities and small-scale fisheries.

I am currently an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow in the Directorate of Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences (SBE) based at UCSB with Dr. Steve Gaines. This project studies how governance affects the quality and extent of compliance in small-scale fisheries.
