Andini Desita Ekaputri (Sita)

Andini Desita Ekaputri (Sita) is a social-environmental researcher working under the Research Center for Population, Indonesia Institute of Sciences (LIPI).
She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
For more than a decade, Sita has been working on the interrelation of human-environmental issues in the tropics, including deforestation, environmental degradations, coral reef rehabilitation, and sustainability certification systems.
She was involved in various multi-year research projects including the Rewarding Upland Poor for the Environmental Services they provide (RUPES) implemented by World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF), Global Comparative Study on REDD+ conducted by the Center for International Forestry Research on REDD+ and now currently studying on the social impacts of Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) in Indonesia.
