Professor and Director of the Mammal Research Institute, University of Pretoria, University of Pretoria

Professor Andre Ganswindt is a behavioural endocrinologist by training and the director of the Mammal Research Institute of the University of Pretoria and a Research Associate at the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa and the Centre for Veterinary Wildlife Studies. He is a member of the Academy of Science of South Africa and currently the president of the Zoological Society of Southern Africa and the chair of the International Society for Wildlife Endocrinology. He has published 152 peer-reviewed articles (h-index 21), three book chapters, and presented at over 60 (inter)national conferences and workshops. Three BTech, 7 BSc-Honours, 2 MMedVet, 18 MSc, and 7 PhD students graduated successfully under his (co)supervision.
