Andreas Fouras

Andreas Fouras is a Mechanical Engineer working exclusively in the field of medical research. Andreas is the head of the Laboratory for Dynamic Imaging (Monash University) and the Founder of a medical technology company (4Dx) with ambitions to improve global healthcare while delivering into the Australian economy. Andreas’ research lies in mechanobiology – the idea that physical forces are a key and sometimes forgotten part of biology and medicine. Most notably, Andreas has developed a completely new imaging modality with the potential to revolutionise respiratory medicine through early diagnosis, increased patient safety, higher throughput and lower costs.
