Associate Professor in Ecology and Environmental Science, Queensland University of Technology

Andrew Baker (am.baker@qut.edu.au; https://bakerecologylab.wordpress.com/) is an Associate Professor in Ecology and Environmental Science in the School of Biology and Environmental Science at QUT, Honorary Senior Research Fellow in Vertebrate Zoology at the Queensland Museum and is a Fellow of the Australian Mammal Society.

His research investigates mammal biology, evolution, taxonomy and conservation.

Andrew (h-index 29) has published over 100 journal articles, 35 popular science pieces, and he is author of 5 books, including the Whitley Award winning Secret Lives of Carnivorous Marsupials (CSIRO Publishing, 2018) and Strahan’s Mammals of Australia (4th Edition) (Reed New Holland, 2023).
