PhD Student in Cognitive Psychology, Bournemouth University

I am currently writing up my thesis for a PhD in Cognitive Psychology. My research looks at the use of active short-term memory (working memory), and the possible structure of this memory system. A focus of my thesis is on olfactory memory, and how our memory for smells differs to memory for other types of stimuli. Olfactory memory appears to have some unique characteristics, and this has informed our understanding for how non-verbal information might be manipulated in short-term memory tasks.
