Andy Meharg

My research is focused around how chemicals, nutients and pollutants, transfer environmental media into agronomic, human and wildlife foodchains by combining analytical chemistry, ecology, genetics and (eco)toxicology.

The focus of this has been mainly on arsenic and phosphorus, but other trace elements (cadmium, copper, mercury, selenium and lead) and persistent organic pollutants are also of interest.
