Clinical Associate Professor, Swansea University

Dr Angharad Davies is a clinical academic and honorary consultant medical microbiologist. She qualified in medicine from Cambridge University and holds a PhD from University College London. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists, Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of the Council of Medical Educators.

Dr Davies is the Royal College of Pathologists' joint Lead for Undergraduate and Foundation Education and has a keen interest in medical education of the pathology disciplines, particularly relating to infection. She is active in research and is Health and Care Research Wales Specialty Lead for Infection. Her main research interest is the gastrointestinal parasite Cryptosporidium.

Dr Davies is also a member of the British Medical Association Medical Academic Staff Committee and BMA COVID19 Advisory group.
