Angie is launch editor of The Lighthouse (lighthouse.mq.edu.au), steering how Macquarie University tells its world-changing research stories, and manages a supporting cast of deeply experienced news journalists to deliver content that turns a scholarly lens on news of the day. Publishing daily and sharing MQ news with a vast network of 900 000+ social media followers, subscribers and the mainstream media, The Lighthouse is at the forefront of a growing gobal trend for universities to become publishers of original research stories and topical, evidence-based news and opinion.

After cutting her reporter's teeth in the newsrooms of the Daily Telegraph and The Australian and stints in the Media Departments of NSW Health and University of Sydney, Angie spent the years between 2000-2015 as a section Editor at Fairfax Media (now Nine) working across Health, Education, Property, Travel, Entertainment and general news.
