Anir Kumar Upadhyay

Lecturer in Built Environment, UNSW Sydney

Anir is affiliated to the UNSW Built Environment since 2014. Anir is trained as an Architect and Urban Planner. He has a PhD degree in Sustainable Design from the University of Sydney. Anir’s research mainly interrogates real-world problems related to sustainability and energy efficiency in the built environment. His research explores fundamental issues of sustainable built environment at design and post-occupancy stages by using simple design tools and analysing big data sets. Anir has developed a climate data analysis software which addresses the underlying issues of climate data analysis/ presentation for built environment professionals to explore local climate data from a designer’s perspective. He was involved in number of research projects funded by the CRC for Low Carbon Living (CRC LCL) .
Anir teaches courses in Master’s in Sustainable Built Environment.
