Anita Srivastava

Associate Professor, Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto

Dr. Anita Srivastava is an associate professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. She has practiced both family medicine and addiction medicine for twenty years and has also been a research scholar and primary care academic. She has published many peer-reviewed research articles in the area of addiction medicine. In addition to her research, she has also coauthored provincial and national chronic pain, opioid addiction, alcohol, and cannabis clinical guidelines and has been an active advocate in the area of public health policy and has spent many years successfully lobbying for legislative changes that have enabled medical coverage for patients with substance use disorders.
