Ann M. Oberhauser

Professor of Sociology, Iowa State University

I am a Sociology Professor and Director of the Women's and Gender Studies Program at Iowa State University. My research background is in human geography with an emphasis on gender and economic development. I have conducted research and published in the areas of women and employment, rural development, and globalization. Much of my work examines the status of women and gender issues in contemporary society. I have also taught in several disciplines, including geography, gender studies, and sociology.
