Dr. Ann Pegoraro (@SportMgmtProf) started some of the first blogs and social media sites at Laurentian University. She has continued to focus on social media in her research and sought out as an expert in this field by organizations such as the Canadian Olympic Committee and the Northern Ireland Football League. Dr. Pegoraro has appeared on Canada AM, CP24, CBC The Current and is sought after by print media such as the Globe and Mail, The Washington Post and the Toronto Star for commentary on sport business related topics.
Ann the Lang Chair in Sport Management and a Full Professor at the School of Hospitality, Food and Tourism in the Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph. A holder of B.A., MBA, and PhD degrees, Ann is also a co-Director of E-Alliance, a national network for research on Gender Equity in Canadian Sport, funded by Sport Canada.
