Anna graduated in June 2015 with a first class BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Aberdeen. She joined biotechnology company TauRx Therapeutics Ltd (University of Aberdeen) in October 2015 as a PhD student. Her project investigated synaptic alterations and neuroinflammation observed within transgenic models of Alzheimer's Disease and Tauopathy. In 2019 she joined the Krembil Research Institute at Toronto Western Hospital as a postdoctoral research fellow.
