Anna Garnett's research, informed by a health equity lens, seeks to identify and support the health and social needs of older adults who are living with chronic illness and their caregivers. Her research places an emphasis on understanding and accounting for the interaction of the social determinants of health on older adults’ ability to optimize their health and quality of life. Her use of qualitative and quantitative methods, positions her to attain population level data yet also explore deeply personal experiences in managing chronic illness.
