Anna Traveset is a Research Professor of the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) and is based at the Mediterranean Institute of Advanced Studies (IMEDEA, a mixed institution between the CSIC and the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). She leads the Terrestrial Ecology Laboratory at IMEDEA since 2000. She has extensive experience in the study of plant-animal interactions in terrestrial ecosystems, evaluating the impact of global change (mostly invasions, habitat loss, climate change) on native ecological interactions, using the approach of network theory. Her work is mostly on islands, although she also participates in a number of projects on mainland areas.
