Anne-Marie Forbes

Associate Professor and Discipline Lead, Creative Arts and Health, University of Tasmania

Anne-Marie Forbes, PhD, MMus, MA, BMus is an Associate Professor in the School of Creative Arts and Media at the University of Tasmania. She is a singer and musicologist, publishing widely on twentieth-century British and Australian music, choral music and the effects of arts engagement on health and wellbeing. She leads the Creative Arts and Health programme at the university and developed their unique Diploma of Creative Arts and Health. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, president of Allegri Ensemble and the Tasmania chapter of the Musicological Society of Australia, a member of the Royal Musical Association, the International Society of Music Education and the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association.
