Anthony T. Bryan

Professor of International Relations, The University of the West Indies: St. Augustine Campus

Currently I am a scholar and consultant on energy development (oil and natural gas), energy security (renewable energy), and energy geopolitics in the Caribbean and Latin America. Scholar on regional security issues in Central America and the Caribbean. During my career I have been a tenured associate professor at the University of Rhode Island, a tenured full professor at the University of the West Indies at St. Augustine, Trinidad, a visiting professor at the University of Texas at Austin, Indiana University at Bloomington, Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and the University of Geneva in Switzerland. I directed the Institute of International Relations at the University of the West Indies for a decade, and subsequently the Caribbean Program at the North South Center, University of Miami for more than a decade. I have served as a Senior Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and currently I am a Senior Associate (Non-Resident) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) all in Washington, D.C. I have published more than 80 articles and authored or edited 10 books.
