Dr Antonia Canosa

Research fellow, Southern Cross University

Dr Antonia Canosa is a social anthropologist at the Centre for Children and Young People, Southern Cross University with a passion for working with vulnerable and marginalised populations such as children and young people in the diverse contexts in which they live their lives including schools, disability services, residential care services and the tourism industry. Antonia pursues her interests in children's rights, safety, wellbeing and participation through her involvement in large research projects including several ARCs. Her work is grounded in social justice and critical pedagogy with an emphasis on participatory, collaborative and ethnographic methodologies to empower children and young people to contribute to research, policy and practice.
