I am working as an academic with the University of Delhi since the last twelve years now. I have done my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and post graduation in film studies from Mass Communication Research Centre, JMI. Delhi, India. My academic research work includes research papers on History of screenwriting in Indian cinema. I have presented my work at University of Helsinki, Finland, University of Leeds, UK and Copenhagen). I have published in the International Guide of Women Screenwriters (India section) and the International Journal of Screen writing. I was also the consultant expert on media studies for NCERT (National organization for Research in Education, India).
I have scripted and directed two video documentary films on classical vocal artiste Begum Akhtar and Siddheshwari Devi. I have also directed a 16mm documentary on Migration of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir.
Have also published nonfiction and fiction work for more than a decade in books and newspapers all around the world.
