Ariel Sarah Prinsloo

Ariel is a PhD candidate in the School of Geography, Archaeology and Environmental Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand. She is a geographer and works in the sub-discipline of human biometeorology, particularly climate and tourism. Her other interests include work on water and resource consumption and heat under climate change. She has coordinated and lectured a university wide course since 2023 called Climate Change and Me under the Gateway to Success Programme at the university. The course aims to bridge the gap between high school and university with a particular focus on understanding climate change in the field students are set to engage in.
